HUNT TEST ENTRY & REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS

Both you as the owner and the person handling your dog at the APLA Hunt Test must be current members of APLA.

Is the dog registered with the UKC?

Your dog is required to be registered with the United Kennel Club (UKC) before before being credited with any APLA Hunt Test passes or Hunt Test Titles.

Is the dog a purebred Labrador Retriever?
Is the dog a purebred Labrador Retriever?

Only purebred, Labrador Retrievers without dilute factors are eligible for APLA Titles.


Proven dilute factored dogs are not eligible for APLA titles. APLA has approved that Hunt Test Chairs and Judges may report suspected deviations in color to the UKC.

APLA uses your and your dog's information from the huntsecretary.com website for the following purposes: 


Preparing the Hunt Test Premium

Sending test results to the UKC for purposes of tracking and sending out Certificates.

Recording information into the APLA Dog Database; 

Preparing the Triple Crown event guide and other APLA related documents.


If this information is incorrect or omitted it causes delays in your receiving certificates and results in inaccurate information being recorded in the APLA Dog Database and with the UKC.
