APLA BOD Meeting
Wednesday, May 19th, 2010
1. Call to Order by President Dale Merritt at 7:02 pm (CDT)
a. In attendance were Mike Bachkosky, Troy Callanan, Larry Kimble, Doug Powell, Vic Rompa, Bruce Smiley, and Dale Swiderski. Absent was Ed McNally.
2. Treasurer’s Report
a. Balance of $24,824.97
3. Secretary’s Report
a. Memberships are going out monthly
b. Hunt Test Certificates are being generated and sent out.
4. Committee Reports
a. Hall of Fame Committee
i. Dog nominees were sent to each BOD member for review. Nine dogs were selected to be on the ballot. MOTION: Accept the committee’s nomination of nine dogs to be put on the ballot for membership vote. PASSED- Unanimous
ii. A ballot will be sent out to the general membership, who will vote for six nominees in 2010, four nominees in 2011, four nominees in 2012, and two nominees in subsequent years. Discussion: What year of membership is eligible to vote this year? MOTION: Current 2010 memberships will receive ballots. PASSED- (5-2)
b. Hunt Test Committee
i. Discussion about support to Hunt Test Chairs and Secretary’s. Spreadsheets, budget forms, and any other documentation that have been used in the past, that has been helpful in coordinating hunt tests should be forwarded to the Hunt Test Committee (Bachkosky & Kimble).
c. Judges Committee
i. Apprentice Forms from spring hunt tests are being compiled and recommendations will be made at the June meeting.
