APLA BOD MEETING MINUTES
April 13, 2010
I. Meeting brought to order by President Dale Merritt at 7:03 pm (CDT).
a. In attendance were Mike Bachkosky, Troy Callanan, Ed McNally, Dale Merritt, Doug Powell, Bruce Smiley, and Dale Swiderski. Absent were Larry Kimble and Vic Rompa.

III. Secretary’s Report-none
IV. Committee Reports
a. Rules Committee
Recommended changes in the Rules and Judges Guidelines were sent by email to all Board members for review prior to the meeting. Each change was addressed and asked for discussion or clarification. The recommendation in the “Judges Guidelines”, page 4, The apprentice and judging steps are detailed as they must apprentice and be approved at CPR, then judge at least once twice at CPR before proceeding to APR apprenticeship and judging an APR test, and then MPR apprenticeship before judging a MPR test. , was NOT approved and was left as written. All other changes were approved.
Motion and Second to approve the changes to the Rules and Judges Guidelines beginning with the spring hunt tests: PASSED
b. Auditing Advisory Board
i. Troy Callanan reported that himself and Doug Powell completed an audit of the Treasurer’s records. Their conclusion is that all is well documented and accurate.
Motion and Second to accept the report and findings of the Treasurer’s annual audit: PASSED

a. Bruce Smiley brought up discussion about handler conduct at hunt tests. Troy Callanan is going to be emailing the BOD a statement that will be posted on the website and hunt test secretary’s desk for all members to see and abide by, if approved by email vote.
