| 2011 APLA Hall of Fame Ballots Completed - Sunday, January 01, 2012Congratulations and we welcome the following dogs as recieving the most APLA member votes for the 2011 Hall of Fame inductions. It was close on a few and the ballots were counted three times to be certain. We welcome the following new APLA HOF dogs:

Meeting Minutes June 17 2008
Meeting was called to order at 7:04 pm CST
Members present: Dale Merrit, Larry Kimble, Shawn Hoover, Mike Bachkosky, Stu Wange, Brice Romero, Doug Powell, Jeff Ports
Larry Kimble presented the Treasurer’s report:

2008 YTD Redeemed judge's APLA Bucks certificates $415
Shawn Hoover presented the secretary’s report: All certificates for the spring tests have been mailed. All members have been mailed membership cards and APLA stickers. A couple have been returned by the post office, as the address we have on file was incorrect. Attempts will be made to contact the members involved.
Doug Powell presented a report from the clothing committee. Craft-Cochran can provide the APLA with clothing with the APLA logo for sale to the membership. An initial set up fee of $120 to $160 will be required. They will then be able to take orders from the membership via an online link from the APLA website. The board voted to approve the committee’s recommendation unanimously.
The following apprentice judges were added to the official judges list: Certified - James Cook & Tom Osborne Advanced – Paul Durant Master – Vic Rompa
Mike and Larry presented a list of proposed fall test locations. The following locations were proposed: Colorado – Labor Day weekend NE Iowa – 9/13 WA – 9/20 MI – 9/20 PA – 9/20 IL – 9/20 or 27 or Oct 5 SW IA – 10/11 or 10/5 KS – 9/27
After much discussion on the pros and cons of each test location, dates, judge availability, serving the needs of the membership, high fuel costs etc. the following tests were approved:
8/30, 8/31 & 9/1 Haystack/Bearpoint Kennel Larkspur, CO 9/13 & 9/14 Chase the Adventure Hunt & Gun Club, Decorah, IA 9/20 & 9/21 Cripple Creek Ranch Monroe, WA 9/20 & 9/21 Omega Farms Williamston, MI 9/20 & 9/21 Pheasant Hill Preserve Rileyville, PA 9/27 & 9/28 Rick Hastings Farm Girard, KS 10/11 & 10/12 Three Mile Lake Afton IA
The board unanimously approved increased hunt test entry fees due to the increased cost of birds from the suppliers of the fall hunt tests.
CPR entry fee has eliminated the hunt test fee and replaced it with a single fee of $80 for chukars or $90 for pheasants or a mix of chukars and pheasants.
APR entry hunt test fee is now $115 for chukars or $125 for pheasants or a mix of chukars and pheasants.
MPR entry hunt test fee is now $140.
The RMPLC asked the board if they could have a raffle for the RMPLC at the fall APLA test in Larkspur since the RMPLC is volunteering their time to man the APLA test. After short discussion Dale Merritt made the motion “An organization can ask the APLA to have a raffle at an APLA event with the proceeds going back to that organization” Second Shawn Hoover Approved unanimously
A discussion of paying members of the APLA to help at a test came up. After discussion Larry made the motion “The APLA will not pay members or their families for volunteering at a test” Second Shawn Approved unanimously
