Solicitation for Newsletter Articles
By APLA Secretary @ 10:12 AM :: 1264 Views

Membership, the first Newsletter this year is in the works.  Amongst many other things, there will be articles from the membership at large.  As in a previous issue, an article written by husband and wife describing both sides of the story when one person is nuts about training and the other is only nuts about the other person, and how it works out was entertaining and also somewhat helpful for others finding themselves in a similar situation.  It would be a really neat thing to have an article in each issue from someone out there who has had obstacles to deal with, resistance, and finally some nice outcomes - to share those with others of us in the same boat.  It can be anything as long as it is related to the dogs and the things we go through with or for them.  Any submitted articles need not be perfect, they will be edited for any minor errors.  I would like to personally request some of you share some of the things you've been through with the rest of us!

Email me with your questions or your articles!

What would be the suggested word length limit be? What does "Rating is required" mean?

Okay, I have no idea about the rating, give yourself a 5 then...

With regard to the length, I may change with experience on this one, but I'd say top limit two pages, which is a lot to read in a NL, or one page which easily holds everyone's attention. If you send me something we can work together on size and such! Love to have it!

I gave Zeke the 5! I have something ready to go but its a little long. I will shorten it a bit and then send it off, it's about Zeke's comback! Thanks!

Hi Julie!

I have finished Zeke's Story for the newsletter and I will send it your way this morning. I included one picture but know that space is limited. Also, I know that you can't include all articles in the newsletter, and after a few days of crying, Zeke and I will be fine (ha ha ha) if it doesn't get accepted.

Thanks for all your hard work!

Mike & Zeke
