NOPE. 800 Can-Am it's the new name from Bombardier or ski-doo.. The mut did let me drive it once 75mph, way more then I need, but will make pulling ice house a breeze |

Nice. I am curious, what made you switch from your Polaris to the Can-am? How do the two compare? I have a Sportsman 700 EFI and love it. After owning 3, I am pretty partial to Polaris but never looked into any others after my first purchase in '98.
I can't say I have ever taken my dog for a ride but he sure loves to run beside me. We go about 3 miles every evening around the block. Now that it is getting hot, we will have to pick another exercise.

Jason, No he runs, would never ride, I just had him hop up there for a pic. The 500 I had was not EFI, It was ok, but once I rode buddies Can AM it was NO comparison.. It will wheelie, soft ride, pulls, can't get it stuck,,YET! has the versa loc, like independant 4x4. Has a better shifting area (meaning easy acces, no bending over and tugging.. My 500 would get stuck in Reverse.
it only had 350 miles 48 hours.... Had some battery issues two, out ice fishing and battery go down,, had no lights, I would charge no go, got new bat, drained fast,, I think something was draining it but never found, 4x4 in rev on Polaris stinks.. Don't get me wrong I liked it but thats only cause I hadn't rode the can am.. my 800 weighs 675#s I think the polaris wa 650.. not sure but seemed to weigh a lot for a 500.
I heard the 700 Polaris twins start hard in winter?????? Curiious to see how this is... I 4got to look, but didn't see, that the can am doesn't have a pull start,,,????? I always forget to check... if it doesn't,,, that would be a major fault,,,, I didn't think they even made them w/o a back up pull start now a days.....

I had some issues with my non-EFI 700 taking forever to warm up but it started ok. If it was real cold, I'm talking below 0, it would take 15-20 minutes to warm up enough you could ride it. The 700 EFI that I have now runs great, no waiting, just start and ride. I have a snow blade and used it quit a bit this winter and it will push a ton of snow.
No pull start on either of my 700's so if my battery goes dead, I am just stuck there. I wonder if the compression would be so great that you couldn't pull start and so they didn't put one on them?
Mine is heavy also, 780lbs without my butt on it. |
