Well,  I finally have got time to post up some pics from my first SD pheasant hunt.  We went up by Gettysburg and we had a pretty good time.  I managed to get a limit everyday but the hunting was pretty tough and the bird numbers were down compared to normal.  Talking to the farmer we were hunting on they have evidently had the worst drought in 50-60 years.  We managed to get into a few huns too.

My pup showed his first point on a wild bird (Hungarian Partridge).  I was pretty happy and he was also real handy at retrieving shot and crippled birds.  He did a lot better than my friends shorthairs.  Pheasant hunting in corn fields just isn't their game.
