Folks I am going to break away from this computer and head out in the morning to do some Pheasant hunting.  That is as long as we dont have any more snow to keep me from driving the two hours to North West Mo to find some birds.  Please wish me luck.  Brady needs to get out, he has been cooped up for a couple of weeks now.  Here is a picture from last years hunt when it was 2 deg below zero in the morning.  Brrrrrr!

Well..... unfortunately we got skunked.  Saw three coveys of quail that got up wild and did not get any decent shots.  And put up probably 7-8 hen pheasants.  No Roosters!!!   NW MO is not South Dakota that is for sure.

Maybe next time!

Well no it will never by like South Dakota. Just got back from Gettysburg, SD and there is a pile of birds there and did great. I want to go back before the season is over but don't think that i will have time. Though I am head to kansas and Mo sometime in Jan for some quail hunting......thinking around the 21 or so for a few day.
I will post pics of the great hunt later.......ajs

Joe:
I don't know about you but Dalton and I as well as Maggie are stiff and sore from all of the walking yesterday. If we don't talk before the holidays have a Merry Christmas.

Dave,  I am doing allright.    Brady was sore and stiff. Of course I am in trouble with the wife over the cut under his eye.

Andrew said to me:   Dad I did not think you could walk that far!   Can you believe that? My own son, dissing me!

Well after I left the house this morning Dalton was still dragging his butt slowly. Maggie just laided down on the kitchen floor and didn't move until Dalton took her out to the kennel. We need to hit the other places I mentioned to you, let me know when you can go and we will try our luck again. This time I will bring the lunch and drinks!
