With bad weather once AGAIN synchronized with the weekend in KS, I decided to head west Fri into the storm so to be on the backside to hunt on Sat/Sun. Stopped half way to Denver for the night.
Well the plan Worked Perfectly! Right now I 70 is closed from Blowing snow near Topeka. Its a mess from Salina
east. And while all that was going on-we limited out early...So Ol' Cletis helped clean em and got a nap in!  |

Nice Steve, The bird Population must be good there were you are hunting? The wind blew very hard friday afternoon and blew old snow across the roads and iced them up pretty bad so I went SHOPPING!! I wish I was out there too! Good luck hope you limit out early tomorrow too!! And a safe drive home, Have fun!! |

| Well It was not easy- Yes very hi winds on Sat-Hardly heard the gun go off it seemed. Little Chief really got into bustin the cover and paid the price with the scabby eye look and Cletis ripped up his feet as I did not put the booties on till Sunday-raw toes and sides of pads and a split toe nail. Then On Sunday I stepped in a hole and just about broke my good leg! Now I am hobbling on both. At least the roads were just fine on the way home-did see some car parts laying around where all the accidents happened and a few cars were still off the road. Last pic is of the wind power towers they are building west of Topeka...Ready to just lay around for a day or two now... Maybe think up a new recipie for the Christmas Rooster! |
