Here are some pics from our duck/ grouse hunting trip. Delta, the yellow got most of the action on this trip. We all had a good time. The grouse where few and far between and man are they hard to hit.

Zeke We went to Bois Blanc island. We went right passed you on 75. DO you have any good grouse or duck spots where you are?

Looks like a sucessful hunt for sure Cart, are you going to mount any of those birds?

Grouse are easy to hit, it's just all the darn tress that get in the way that make it tough.

Not going to mount any of them. We have plenty in the freezer from the last couple of years we need to do first. We will eat all of these. We did get one nice mallard hen and the rest where buffle heads. I missed a nice drake but that is why they call it hunting

Yes and now we have to work on Delta breaking. Way to much excitement for her and me. LOL It was funny though. The dog is in the water and the birds are still coming in to the decoys and buzzing her head.

My parents have a cabin on Lake Huron, looking out to Bois Blanc, always wondered how the hunting was there. We went to Munuscong Bay - Nothing!

Catbird, a stake and a short piece of rope with clips tied to each end works very nice on young dogs if you want to shoot. Its pretty tough to keep the dog under control and shoot. The clips make releasing the dog easy.
