Coming off of a high from my pups first duck hunt. His first official retrieve was a 60yd or so blind after another guy from my clubs dog didnt find the bird.  Ridley had to cross a deep water ditch after about 15 yards on the initial line and three whistles got us to the bird.  Most of the marks were fairly close, but I was really proud of his performance especially since we were hunting with two other dogs.  We ran some longer blinds and my buddy hid in some bushes to shoot some action(reenactment photos)  Pretty proud papa and cant wait for the rest of his season.  He seems to really be putting together alot of concepts that he was struggling on just a couple of months ago.

One more pic, because I cant resist throwing in a plug for John and Mike at K&L who did a force fetch program on my pup and have served as great resources for all of my Amateur training questions.  I can say I wont own another dog without force fetch. Having that foundation has made so much difference with other aspects of training. Thanks guys.

He really likes to motivate and get after it. Hes finally learning to pace himself in the upland fied. Hes a pretty big dog at 83 lbs and I wish hed slow down a little so he doesnt hurt himself.
