I want to get a dog blind for Churchill.  He is tall and weighs 75-80 lbs.  I imagine it will get quite a bit of use, so a sturdy one will be important.  What do those of you with dogs his size use and like?  Thanks!

Avery Finisher Dog Blind is great, light, sturdy and it works great for all types of dogs. If it ever wears out I will definately get another one.

Boy if you find one that works good for his size let me know... I think we have 4 of those things and none of them are tall enough for Crockett and he's really your average male as far as height goes.

My pup is just over 80 pounds and fairly leggy. I just got one of the finisher blinds and he fits just fine. One great feature is the set up which amounts to pulling a string. I havent used it in the field yet, but cant wait.

Has anyone tried the ground force blind? I like the idea of doors on each end...

I saw a picture of that one, Doc, but I couldn't find anyone selling it anymore. Is that the one you use? I thought the ground force one looked most like it...

It's the one we used to use when we hunted out of layout blinds. I heard that the Hide-A-Pooch had been discontinued. But now we hunt out of "semi-permanent" Ameristep OutHouse blinds - so Casey just stays in my blind with me. .

You can buy the hide-a-pooch on gundogsupply.com on clearance, although the Avery Finisher blind is about half as much and should fit your dog just fine

I saw a guy use a goose shell decoy. It fit right over his dog and added to the spread. That may be the cheapest if you already have some mag. shells.
