Guys, I have 3 male labs ranging from 5, 13 months, 8 months. 2 Females @ 2years and 13 months! My Question pertains to training ! The males are jumping up and down wanting to train, the females are (ok if you insist). Is it because the females are more sensitive? Is there any tricks to help them respond better? I try to be a little softer with them ,Am I at fault because of that? Should I treat them the same? The males when I say back or fetch they go!!! The females are more hesitant! but when it comes to hunting the females are awesome Been Married 28 years and still havent figured them out! |

Wow, you have your hands full!
I have three dogs - two females and one male. The two females are "manic" trainers and love to work. Kooly needs a con man in a cheerleading outfit. Whatever works. |

| Are the girls getting kicked around by the Big boys when they are playing? My female does best when it is just me and her. In the yard she is the lowest of the pack so with the other dogs around she is much more subdued. in train. Get her out with just the two of us and she is paying attention to me and not which dog is gonna want to rough house with her. I would try that first. |

I think I figured it out I started doing the drills with alittle more speed so they dont have time to think about them and that really sped up the response, and there excitement! |
