I found the rules for AKC hunt test but have not been able to find what each test consists of in the JH test. I would like to know what the dawg is required to do in the test. Looking at the UKC, I found what each test consists of for each section.
My other question is, which one is the best as far as having a great hunting dog?
Thanks for the info.

I like HRC and especially NAHRA much better. For a Junior or Started dog, they are all pretty much the same, but as soon as you move up the ladder, HRC & NAHRA are much more realistic. Particlarly NAHRA, because they have an Upland portion in each and every test -- not a separate test and separate entry fee (for HRC, Upland is a separate test).

What state do you live in? There may be a NAHRA club near you (or not?).

Also Doc. I noticed that HRC has pointing breed hunt test. Can I run my PL in that kind of a test?

Catbird,

There are some really good HRC clubs in your area: Southern Mi HRC, St. Clair Flats HRC, and Michigan HRC. Great tests, great people, and great events.

I doubt it. PLs are not a Pointing Breed. They are a Retrieving Breed (that points).
