05/01/2006 5:52 AM Alert

I bought a few chukars from my local bird guy yesterday and took out my 5 month ylm.  All he wanted to do was flush and he was able to catch a few of the birds.  Last time we were out he did point a couple of times.  Are bad birds better than nothing?  I just bought a few homing pigeons that should fly really well but it will be a while before they are ready.

1. and he was able to catch a few of the birds.

2. Are bad birds better than nothing?

1. BAD BAD BAD.....................  ONLY use birds that are well flight conditioned. Catching birds only enhances the desire to flush.

2. NO !
