I never have use them and dont really plan to I guess.

For little pups-they work great for sit and here and learning their name-they are also good for teaching that "good dog" is praise, if you give them a treat when you say that at first. As they get older, you phase out the treats.

An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

I use treats with young'ns regularly. Mike Lardy mentioned they have value there in one of his early Retriever Journal articles.

I even found a use for a treat reward recently with an older dog.

I use it for kennel, but can see how it could be used for anything EARLY. I'd stop it before the pup gets to be very old though.

The more treats you give, the more begging you will probably get. If I want to feed a begger, then I'll go down to Beale street. At least then I can listen to some music and watch the freaks walk by while enjoying a cold beverage. JMHO
