Hobbes, Terribly sorry for your loss. I lost my last one to kidney failure at 8. We know we only get these wonderful animals for a short while, but early passings are especially difficult.

Hobbes - I am sorry to hear of your family's loss. I lost my dog earlier this year, and will not be allowed to get another for several years. As hard as it was to lose my hunting partner of eleven years, it is almost as hard knowing that I can't have another. The age old question - is it better to have loved and lost than never to have loved. The memories of Bow will live on - they won't be replaced by a new puppy. They will live on. I will never forget Magnum. He is in both of my daughter's wedding pictures. I will always treasure the short time I had with him and hope the next one can be half the dog.

Hobbes, I've been following this post about your unfortunate loss & very sorry for you & your family. I've had a similar experience when we lost a female to a car at 9-months. I know this is an extremely sensitive time & not sure if the timing is right, but I wanted you to know of a very nice opportunity. We have a 4-month old black female from our first breeding - AFC CFC CAFC GMPR Jazztime Last Chance v Pekisko MHR x CPR SHR Shadow Mtn's Hurricane Tess JH. I may be looking for a hunting family home for "Meg", she's an outstanding pup, She's flash pointing pigeons, retrieves to hand on land & loves the water. Gun Dawg, I sent a messge back to you. Thank you for the offer. I didn't think I would be ready for another pup, but Bow's breeders have a pup that they are bringing me at the end of the month. They hated to hear the news and made me a generous offer I accepted. If their pup had not worked out or I had room and time for two, I would be calling you. Thanks again Shane
