01/27/2006 1:59 PM Alert

It seems like there is a desire/need for more APLA tests.

How about:

If someone in the know posts what it takes, specifically, to hold one-how many entries, how many judges, how much money, etc.  What is the minimum required?

Then, how about if people come up with some locations they would be able to go to.
To help with that, how about posting some places where there are potential training grounds to hold the tests?

I know of a place in Southern California-Prado Dog Training grounds.  Lots of hunt tests are held there, and the weather is good year round, except for the summer when it is too hot and dry.   There is camping there, and hotels are nearby.

If everybody wants to drive to Vancouver, BC and take a couple of ferries, we could probably hold one at my house...

An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
