01/20/2006 11:24 AM Alert
Thanks for all the prayers and support from all of you. While the month of December was a disaster, [usually my best month for bird hunting] January has been better than normal. We are hunting on what is left of the cover which is not enough but we are making the best of it.
For those of you that haven't seen Oklahoma on the news there are numerous wildfires everyday. We have not had any rain in some time the last time we had an inch of rain was Oct. 1st while my part of Oklahoma is known as green country it is anything but. My back has continued to give me ###^)&($*#  but with plenty of pain pills and muscle relaxers I can get through a hunt sometimes doubled over but i get by.It's alway's nice to see your guide doubled over in a field moaning and saying things I can't say here.
On a positive note the loss of two dogs has forced me to move up two of my young dogs to starting rotation and they have done extremely well and gained worlds of experience and now honor any dog on point not bad for one year old's. Its great to here customers say are we going to use flushing dogs for this hunt I just laugh and let them see for themselves its always funny to watch their faces when they see them go on point or honor another point. the normal response is I've never seen anything like that I wouldn't believe if I had not seen it for myself.
I just wan't to say thanks for all your support and prayers. It means the world to me and my family again Thanks
