I’ve read my "copy", and one thing is very clear, anybody with the desire to do right by their pup will greatly benefit from the unique insight of this author. Your pup will be glad you read it.

The special approach to the responsibilities of the owner is stressed continually, and much of what should be done in the first six months is sequentially presented with a powerful, no nonsense rationale. From the first time puppy owner to the most experienced, there is much for all. I was impressed by the depth of the analysis while it is an easy and entertaining read

Of course I must admit that I have been a hard-core "Knutsonite" for years. Thanks, Julie.

Here is my “copy” after being bound.

It is a new e-book. I purchased mine on-line, and then took
the 72 printed pages to a local store where it was bound.
This is the first of three volumes.

Julie, you did a good job on the book. Particularly, what works for most dogs doesn't work for every dog.

If I buy the book (Vol I) does this mean I have to get a new puppy!

Somebody twist my arm!

Actually somebody twist my wifes arm!

I guess after Larrys and Kwicks reviews I am going to have to get an early Birthday present.

Read section 1 of the book the other night and WOW! Julie not only hit a home run but a grand slam at that!

It’s a must read for the novice and experienced trainers as well. It goes into great detail on how to start your pup off in the right direction. Going in to explicate detail ranging from where to find, how to pick a pup, and how to properly introduce birds, retrieving and the upland field. When to apply pressure and more importantly when not. How to keep both you and your pup focused for a path to success. The upland part was music to my ears and would be a good path to follow for all pointing or retrieving dogs. Can hardly wait for sections 2 & 3.

I wish the book would have been out when Pi was a pup. We pretty much skipped any retrieving training until she was a year old and then with little emphasis. She would have been so much further along if I would have used the methods laid out in detail in the book at that impressionable early age. If I was a breeder this book would be included with every pup that went out the door!!

Hats off to Julie!  How wonderful of her to share her vast knowledge of how to properly train bird dogs with the world!!
