This past weekend the family and I entered our dogs, Duke and Cynder, into the Ultimate Air Dog competition and to our surprise Duke ended up winning the senior division dog jump. It was a pretty exciting day and both the dogs loved it. Here's a couple of pictures of Duke jumping.

Very impressive Mark. How far did he jump? Chaos (my choc) loves to jump off the dog, but probably only jumps around 10' or so. Might be some high rolling, pointing, dock jumping chocolates next spring.

Duke jumped 17' to be seated #1 in the finals. He jumped 16' 8" to win senior division. Master division went 17' 2" for winner, we were close. Cynder's best was 16' 2". It was what they call the short dock, we want to run the long dock next. They measure from where the dogs butt hits the water. The dogs had a blast.

Congratulations Mark, thanks for the pictures. That "stuff" is not as easy as it looks.

A few years ago, I attended a Muddy Waters HRC Fun Hunt and there were several first time dogs entered. The good ones looked real good......the bad ones were sometimes hilarious.

One dog came flying down the ramp and tried to stop right at the end of the dock. He slid a little bit in a solid sit position and just before he came to a complete halt his front paws slid over the edge. He tumbled face down toward the water and landed upside down. It was probably a record for the shortest jump ever.

Competition is a lot of fun.
