| The worst part is it came under darkness @ 10:30pm and rain wrapped. It crossed under 2-miles from my house prior to pulling up off the ground, picking up strength and again dropping down to hit Manhattan, and K-State. Bad one. Im ready to head back to upstate NY and deal w/ my 3 foot overnight snowfalls. |

Wow those are incredible pictures. Mother Nature can be a bit cruel at times.
My thoughts and prayers go out to all those affected. |

| Wicked spring and early summer! The first photo is a picture of the destruction from the Parkersburg, IA tornado, inside the yellow circle was my cousin's bar & grill.
The second and third picture are of the same farm.
It passed by our house about four miles to the south. |

| There is really no way to really understand the magnitude of a tornado until you stand in the middle of the damge. It is like looking at the Grand Canyon standing on the edge of a 1500 ft cliff compared to looking at a photograph.
We had a nasty one come through Colorado a few weeks ago. It was a mile wide with no funnel cloud. Just a big balck mass throw golf ball size hall in front of it moving at 30 MPH. It takes just a few seconds to destroy a home. It demolished my neighbors farm 300 yards from me. It is devestating to people and their lives. I saw people sitting in their front yards just kind of in shock from it all. There are huge losses people will never regain.
My prayers go out to all of the people dealing with the floods and tornados.
The photo of the trailer and demolished building are my neighbors place 300 yards from mine. The only thing that kept the roof of the building in one place was slamming it inot a tree.
