This seems like an appropriate thread to give an interesting link. Somehow what Mike and Zeke and their family has accomplished here seems really meaningful. Those of us having followed the forum for some years now know his story, with Zeke being injured and rehab'ed, Mike training and then having to stop because of work related or family related events, including the momentus occasion of his daughter showing up to make things better. Mike has 'followed his passion' and is enjoying what comes of that. For a very touching speech at Carnegie Mellon's commencement this spring, listen to what someone facing their own end has to say about all of this. It's pretty emotional, so if you're not into that, skip it for now.

I know..I know...this is a really..really late congrats!!! Meant to reply way back last spring on yours and Zekes Master Pointing Retriever title!!...the time has just gotten away me. I just had a feeling you guys would nail it...had that feeling when I saw Zeke get his CPR. I don't know who has more drive...you or Zeke?!! It could be a toss-up. This needed to be put back up to the top anyway to inspire people for the fall hunt tests!
Anyway...CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

Thank you so much for the kind words! It is kind of fun to "go back" and remember how good it felt to get the MPR, really good by the way!
How is Jake doing? He is probably all grown up by now, or getting there. Andy still asks about him, and did again when I told him we got our MPR. Andy thought Jake was the best! Andy is actually helping with the Mi Sept Test, should be fun.
Getting Zeke ready to finish the job and get his GMPR, he is running really good right now, even tho training time is very limited due to my adorable daughter. Anyhow, Hope to see you guys at a test again (how MI test??), that was a fun that day, actually a blast!
