Mark, I really thought I liked you and that you were a quality guy but this is getting out of hand. That dog is WAY too good, and you are WAY to calm handling him.
I think Duke needs to be in the back of my pickup about mid-October and I'll send him back (maybe) around the first of the year .
You have had some great accomplishments and he is an awesome dog. Lots more to come!

Nice job Duke (and Mark)!!! Mark, you've got a really special dog, it's been fun to see him climb through the ranks. Hopefully I'll get to see him this fall as you try to add some numbers in front of that GMPR?
Congrats! |

They say that every dog has their day, and this past Saturday was Duke’s day!
When I first heard about an 18 month old dog getting a MPR, I thought it must have been a fluke. I thought, sure a good dog could mark really good at that age, maybe be steady on point at that age, but how could an 18 month old dog run really tough blinds at that age? I am no longer a doubter, Duke can do all that and more.
At the WI test, the judges put together a really, really tough water blind. I mean it was meaty. I looked at it and got sick to my stomach. Duke handled it! At the Mi test, the water blind was also pretty meaty, a long swim along the shore with a tough crosswind. Being on deck I couldn’t really see the whole thing, but he had just a few whistles, if that, taking the best initial line of the day. By the way, I think he did or almost lined the land blind that day as well. He also stepped on his marks.
In the uplands, Duke runs like the Indy 500. He ran big, I mean a fun to watch running big. He had 3 points before he even broke a sweat. He was impressive and steady.
To make the story even better, his owner Mark is an amateur trainer/handler and a great guy! I’m sure his phone is ringing off the hook for planned litters in the very near future.
Impressive my friend, very impressive.
Congrats!
Zeke
PS- He's even good looking (the dog that is!) |

| Now Mark, I heard that the only way to get a 49.5 was not for nearly lining the water blind, but for actually "walking on water". Congrads! |

| Thanks everyone for all your support! Special thanks to Dale (HRKS) for all the time and hard work he has put into training Duke and I. Dale you sure have came along way over the past couple of years and you should be darn proud of yourself! Also a special thanks to Paco (a.k.a. dog-father) for all his help and knowledge! I know you and Gator can get it done this fall, he's got a lot of talent. I've been in the upland field with him enough to know this first hand. Thanks guys! See you all in the fall!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

| Thanks Chris, I wasn't as confused as I was cold. Dale and Frank dumped an ice cold cooler of water on me just before the picture. I think they were confused and thought we were at an HRC test. |
