Hi Guys...new here too, and as you might guess by my name, I'm an airline pilot.

Shipping the dogs can be stressful, but is very safe. And from being on the ramp during on and off loading animals, they get much better customer service than we do! Temps in the summer are the big factor...check you carrier for their specific regs. ALWAYS use a top quality kennel...don't cheap out in this area. Lastly, since no one mentioned it yet. Pups are small enough to carry onboard if you are on the flight. You need to use a softsided carry kennel that fits under the seat in front of you. Usually costs another $50 over the ticket price. Friend of mine did this recently at my advice and was very pleased...exercised the pup hard at the rental car return and he slept all the way home.
