Interesting that they did water first on the CP dogs! I thought the goal was to promote and certify! The dogs did not get a chance to do the upland? Kevin

We had to share the water with CPR flight B. They did upland first then water.. we did water first then upland.

Our New "MPR"Santa Fe's Contender Tyra MH. A big thanks to Brad Lhotak for helping Tyra achieve her MPR. Wish we could of been there to see her. Not bad for a choco dog. Look forward to her getting her GMPR in the Fall before her next litter. Thanks Brad!! Ron & Deb

That yeller dog looks good (considering the color) but I don't know about the guy holding the rope! ;)
Glad you guys had a great event. Kevin- We did that last year in Colorado with the split CP field taking turns. I know at that event the judges let anyone who ran the water 1st and failed go to the upland for fun. There was only one dog that did that.

As one of those in attendance for the first time to watch and learn, I can't say enough about all those involved with PL's. A big THANKS to those who welcomed us like family and helped in any way to show us the ropes. Lots of great dogs from around the area as well as those from Michigan and a couples of good working dogs out of Texas. Oh, and how about that little 10 week brown dog showing us some point. Congrats to all those with passing scores and to those others who gained some valuable experience. Brad & Deb

Steve,
The dog would probably have done better without that guy on the other side of the rope..

Kevin, I'm not sure exactly how I'm to take this statement. Can you please clarify?

Interesting that they did water first on the CP dogs! I thought the goal was to promote and certify! The dogs did not get a chance to do the upland?

Never mind the reason that Stu gave for why the judges did this as it's really irrelevent to that quote.

Thanks!

DWestphal , I was just suprised that they did water first, dropped 3 dogs and did upland without those dogs? Yes they probably woudnt have succeeded in the water, but at least would have got to do there upland work! And Steve did answer my question! I think all CP level dogs should be allowed to do the upland work if they fail or succeed, after all that is what we pay for! Kevin

I just wanted to send a quick thank you to all of the fine people that made the great WI test possible. Rain and I had a blast at our first APLA event, and the trip from NY was well worth it. Thanks to the judges for helping me understand the rules, and making me feel comfortable. I only changed my underwear twice. Thanks to the handlers that gave me some helpful advice. Thanks to the workers, without them there would be no test. A special thanks to Mark, "planter extrordinare", who stapled the chuckars feet to the ground for me. KIDDING And a big thank you to the landowners for affording us the opportunity to run our dogs on such a great track of land. I can't wait to see all you very soon at the next event!!! Chris and Rain

Anyone shoot pictures of the masters setup like was done at the MO test. Seeing the pics of the test setups with kiks diagrams are really helpful for us non pro trainers who are working to that level. Thanks.

You guys ran a great, smooth test. Way to go all who came home with ribbons. The "MM" was 0 for 3, but still had a great time. Zeke was almost off his probation on the way home, until his navigational skills put us about two hours off course. (The Dog Father was sleeping, and I was driving, so it has to be Zekes fault) Hope to see you all in MI, but if not, maybe in the fall.
