MEMBERS PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU STILL NEED TO MAIL YOUR ENTRIES TO THE HUNT TEST SECRETARIES!!!

On line entry of dogs by members is not yet available in phase one of the project. This phase is for the hunt test record keeping only.

Announcing APLA’s custom built Hunt Test Registration System (HTRS)! This week, we will be rolling out Phase One to Spring 2008 Hunt Test Secretaries. HTRS is an online, password protected, application which will allow real time access to membership data as well as certification data. The following features and benefits are included in this release of the software.

 Membership information as well as certification information can be cross checked and updated in a prompt manner.

 Hunt Test Secretaries can easily enter test scores which will lead to quicker certificate generation.

 Improve the turn around time from Hunt Test Events to the results being posted online.

We look forward to building on Phase One to bring you, the members, online access to Hunt Test Registration and the ability to access your certification records.

Effective with the spring hunt tests the Certified Pointing Retriever rules have been revised. The revisions are in red under the Rules tab and Certified Pointing Retriever. The changes are in two areas. The first area is "Scoring" where an individual category score of 1 1/2 or lower will result in failure. Also, the total score is changed from 18 to 21 points. The second area is the change and replacement of the last sentence under "Point".

I ventured over to the "wet" side of the state to watch Hooligan run Churchill in and AKC Jr test today. I mean wet too... rain, wind, and flat out nasty and cold.

That yella dog goes like a house of fire! He is all about the birds and looks darn good doing it too. Although he did have that look on his face after a run of... is that it, only two darn birds??? What gives???

Way to go to both of you.

Thanks again for that yummy steak dinner and beers last night Hooli!

Nice job Hooligan!

I ran Maverick and Cricket in their first AKC test a couple of weeks ago! It was a lot of fun!

Geez-I get home and we're already famous...thanks, all!

We had good fun-I just have to stand there, Churchill does all the work. I found out today just how much I don't know about all this test stuff! Best day the pup can have is feathers in his mouth-we don't train with birds often, so he loves going to the tests. He really liked this one-TWO live fliers! We're trying to get his SHR and JH titles this spring and summer-he has to run marks to be a happy dog, so I figure the tests are like a fun day for him.

Thanks for coming over GHT-fun times, and great to see you!

Nope-the steaks and beers were just a few of us girls having a good time...the night before the test!  There was some unrelated-to-dogs celebrating going on!  And a good time was had by all...

But if you want to come out west for a visit 2Bd!, steaks and beers will be on me!

It was a fun girls weekend that's for sure. Churchill was the only guy and the only dog AND he got birds so he thought he was all that.

Way to go Hooli & Churchill! Isn't it fun to watch your dog do well in a hunt test?

BTW - It's good to see strong women in our sport, and I believe that you, the fashion model, Kerri, and "GirlshuntToo" are good role models. My sister saw some women running dogs, and now she and my nephew are joining the ranks!!

I'm honored to just be mentioned in the same sentence with those ladies!  They are way out of my league.  I got into all this because I wanted a hunting dog-and now I have a good one who is addicted to bumpers!

There are lots of women at the (few) tests I have been to here in the Pacific NW.  And I can think of one little cutie that I am sure will be handling her very own dog in the not too far distant future-right, Dad?

The bottom line is that it is cool that my daughter will have strong female role models to look up to in our sport, and say, I can do that too, I can beat the boys at thier own game!

You know Hooli, you are so right, I can't wait to get her running dogs with her dad, to me, that will be the best.

She really likes my dogs Zeke & Billy (hound dog rescue), so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
