Here is a look at the Spring 08 APLA Master test.  Thanks to Kwik for the graphics.

Wind was right to left in all pics.

The land test pic does not give the test justice.  Dogs had to cross 2 terraces, and the big bluestem is taller and thicker than it looks in the pics.  Please also note the green roadway that angles across the line to the blind.  10 of 15 proceeded to water.

Water test was pretty much a breaking test, but several dogs had to check out the junk to the right of the memory bird.
The  H2O blind was straight forward, but the dekes on the left did suck a few, and more dekes on the far bank which are not visible.  8 of 10 remaining were carried to upland.

8 dogs to Upland.

Upland field had great cover, with strips mowed in horshoe shape.  Wind was swirling in the terraces, out of the west in some parts of the field and north in others.  All handlers expressed difficulty with getting strategy to hunt this field considering shape and wind.  4 out of 8 passed.

Good Pics! But the land memory bird has way to much arc.

Here is a better look at the land blind.  Without Kwik's graphics, the blind was located just in front of the left end of the log.  Some of the dogs wanted to go hunting in the fencerow to the left, and others took a trip down the road, but most dogs did pretty well.
