As most of you know I in the process of dealing with my first pup and I have a lot questions from time to time. The other day my pup and I were doing our thing on the "walk." We started getting into some tall grass and my pup stopped about 10 feet in front of me. I noticed the hair on his back started to stand up. At first I was thinking my boy's first point and heart started to go crazy. I slowly walked up and discovered nothing in the grass. I was wondering what could cause this reaction? Could it just be an interesting smell like another dog or something? He did not seem to act scared or timid about it. After a about 20 seconds I just continued on and went about his business. I know it may be hard to tell what exactly was going through his head at the time however, I thought I would ask. I was also thinking that maybe there was a bird there before we arrived. I have not introduced him to birds yet (that will happen this week). Anyways, just curious.

It could have been any number of things...no way to really tell.
That's what is so great about the walk though...getting to observe your pup experiencing something new almost every time out.

| I know what you are saying. I love going on the walks because it seems like everytime I learn something new. It just seemed really odd....kinda cool but yet odd. |
