Not here a couple hundred miles south of you!

As long as there's snow on the ground I can't call it Spingtime. We still have snow EVERYWHERE, hip deep or deeper except under the trees. This morning it was hard enough to walk on and the dogs and I got in a good hike searching for ptarmigan - but found none. Tomorrow or soon after, if it warms much above freezing, walking on top will be impossible even on skis or snowshoes.

There ARE a few buds showing on the alders though. Won't be long.

Gotta love these LONG days and bright hot sun even if it is still winter.

Jere,

Did you get any snow out of this last storm? We've got 5"-12" this weekend. The good news is that it is doomed, won't be long now!

Greg., we had very little from that one. I logged 2" plus a trace.

But, we beat you for the winter - over 12 feet since the ground was last bare on December 18. There was snow before that too but I don't have the counts here.
