Request for Spring Hunt Test Applications - Tuesday, December 23, 2008
The APLA hunt test committee is calling for spring hunt test applications The application's due date is January 20th. The application form is found under the EVENTS tab, then click on the HUNT TEST tab, and then down load the application form. Complete the form as fully as possible. Don't be concerned with your judges until applications are approved and date is set. New Directors for 2009-2010 - Friday, November 14, 2008
Election ballots for the 3 open directors for 2009 through 2010 have been counted. Congratulations to Bruce Smiley, Troy Callanan, and Vic Rompa as our new directors. Everyone give then a warm welcome for volunteering their time.

Well we spent the weekend in Stratton ,Co at the NAGDA Nationals were We seen alot of good dogs! Dale did awesome in the Open Pointing with a 2nd (Hawk) 3rd(Reigny) 4rth(Bear)(My vote as champ)Apointer won it with a impressive run in the finals (Very nice dog) Jared Colburn took the Open Flushing with a fantastic run in the finals!
I participated in the Amateur flushing and did very well the first day! It was the second day were the dogs showed up and I didnt!! Jedi and Chelsea were in 3rd and 4th after friday! both had great runs saturday but I wasnt on the same page! Cant wait tell next year what a blast watching good dogs work!! Here are a few pics sorry they are just me! My wife is alittle kennel blind!  Oh yea Russ and Rhenee Fadling did awesome too! Russ 1st in Amatuer Flushing! And not sure about Rhenee but I think 1st in women? Help me out Rhenee |

Russ and I ditto our congrats to all of the mentioned Top Dogs and their handlers: Brenda with Reigney, Dale with Bear and Hawk, Jared with Ellie.
Thanks for the congrats Kevin, Pistol Pete he's the Amateur Flushing Champ. Russ came in 4th with Gordie in Open Flushing and I came in 2nd in Women's with Gordie and 4th in Women's with Buster, I handled Pete in Women's but we had a tough run on Saturday. Pete and Buster were pointing fantastic all weekend!
It was a very fun weekend. It's always great to see all of the PL Lab folks there. Good work Kevin - we'll see you next year! This shoot to retrieve stuff gets in your blood! |
