Request for Spring Hunt Test Applications - Tuesday, December 23, 2008
The APLA hunt test committee is calling for spring hunt test applications The application's due date is January 20th. The application form is found under the EVENTS tab, then click on the HUNT TEST tab, and then down load the application form. Complete the form as fully as possible. Don't be concerned with your judges until applications are approved and date is set. New Directors for 2009-2010 - Friday, November 14, 2008
Election ballots for the 3 open directors for 2009 through 2010 have been counted. Congratulations to Bruce Smiley, Troy Callanan, and Vic Rompa as our new directors. Everyone give then a warm welcome for volunteering their time.

I need birds for upland work. My normal supplier wont have much of anything until June 1st. Can anyone help??

Might try Marty's Quail & Chukars, Located in Emmet, Nebraska, phone (402)336-3166. He's located right outside O'Neill. I can't tell where you're located but we picked up Chukars yesterday, he doesn't have many left, but said he had some nice Quail.

Try Tim Lund in Madison. I dont have his phone number off hand buts listed under Madison. Or maybe hes your supplier already..hope I could help

Thanks again........I found some quail (not my first choice), but beggars cant be chosers.

Does Tim Lund have just pheasants or does he raise chukar as well??

Leroy, I woke up this morning and 35 chukar were in my front yard!!!!! They got out of my pen ! If you want to come down and catch um you can have them!!

found a hole in the bottom of the pen just big enough for them to go through! oh well when I get back home sunday i might have to walk my field with a dog and see if we cant find a few!!

I think Tim just has pheasants. last i heard he was selling birds in the 6 figure range yearly. he also raises point labs. i bought my first pointing lab from him and have gotten a few birds from him for training.
