I had a phone call this afternoon from a client. Ditch company was burning ditches and left the area. The fire crossed the canal and started another fire. The building that had 8 labs in it burned to the ground. All dogs were lost. Terrible thing. Ask anyone interested to say a prayer for the owner and the dogs. The only dogs he has left is one that was with him at the time and one I am training. Gary

Doc, Here in Colorado in Severance. Just east of Fort Collins. This poor guy has the worst luck I have ever seen. Last year his neighbor poisoned two of his dogs. Fortunately they caught the woman that did it. Prosecuted her and she went to Jail and paid a fine. I trained one of those dogs, a real nice male. He was going to be running an APLA test soon. When you think things stink in your own circumstances look around be very thankful. Realize how lucky you all are next time your dog comes up to you to be near you. Gary

How very very sad for sure.
Does the Ditch Company have any "legal liability" in something like this?

Doc, Attorney's have been contacted. I dont know what the outcome will be. All these dogs that were lost were breeding dogs mostly PL's. Some as young as 4 months old. Mostly females including one that was suppose to come back to me fairly soon for training out of my dogs Jesse and Delta. Beautiful black female that would point everything in sight from grasshoppers to birds. Looked just like her mom Delta. Words cant really express how somthing like this makes me feel. I cant even begin to imagine the pain the owner must feel! Did not want to bring everyone down but sometimes really bad things happen. As I mentioned before we all should be thankful for our dogs that are still with us. Please say a prayer for the owner and the dogs that were lost. Gary
