I have tried everywhere to buy a copy. Seems no one carries it. Bordres said they used to but do not now. Gonna try a gun shop that i seem to remember carried a few magazines. Anyone have any luck making a copy by chance?

Debbie at the Jounral is going to send me a box of copies at a cut rate. I'm ordering them next week. I have the advanced copy already.

If there are a few of you that don't have them in your area, I can order a few more and ship them to you. Let me know if this is a way you'd like to get one?

I'll be keeping about twenty or so for myself. But I can get more as needed. No charge from me to ship you one.

Big R, I'd like one. Happy to pay for it and postage! Is Mallard's photo in the article too? If I remember right, there were going to be 4 photos...

I'm still waiting for our copy to come in the mail but for those of you are are NOT subscribers, you can go to www.retrieverjournal.com and click on either the Subscribe link or the Contact link to get signed up. If you email or phone Debbie, the Circulation Manager, ask her to send you the June/July issue. She's really helpful. Their phone # is 800-447-7367.

On a personal note, Steve and I want to say a great big THANK YOU to Big R and Mr. Mallard for allowing us to breed Hanna to one of the best of the best! She's getting big and starting to bag up so we should be seeing little "Mallard's" in about 2 weeks. I can hardly wait to get these pups on the ground and see what we've got. Big R, Mrs. R and Mallard are a real class act and we're proud to call them friends.

Now call The Retriever Journal Monday and get your copies! It's about time our fantastic breed got some recognition!

Thanks Julie & Steve, Mal and Hanna Banana pups should be some real go getters. I'm just glad that You and Steve have found a Laughing Dog Beer pusher in your area. Sense sending home a half case of Cream Ale and three Devil Dogs with Jane Mork to Dave, I'm afraid his stash is going to run out and I'll have to find a way to get him more. Jooks as if Mallard and I are going to have to ad bootleging to his titles and load the truck up and drive him out a new supply. Pat as soon as I have my box, I'll shoot you a note and send it off. Good article in RJ. Obviously it wasn't as long as I/we would like, but I thought it was fair and would be a good introduction for someone who is on the fence about PL. On a side note, a good friend mine of that takes me hunting all of the time tried to pursuade me from getting a PL. "They don't really point, they stand or sit" he said. He had a chance to hunt over Rain this past season and watched her point five or six birds. Head low, ears up, hard lean forward...point. He asked how long it took for me to train her how to do that. The only reason he believed me when I said she has had absolutely ZERO training for point was because he knows what a lowsy trainer I am. He still says labs don't point, but he did ask me to start looking for a puppy for him. Chris

I got to see/read the article this weekend at the Wisc test..I thought it was very fair and well explained.....I saw no "agendas" but an honest article about what we are all about.,, I tried to get Cliff ( the writer of the article ) to attend the Wisc test but he had other obligations.. To those who's dogs got pictured..congrats...they look great..
