| Competed in the Wyoming State Pheasant Championship this last weekend. Just went there to work the dogs and see how they would compare with other dogs. Just ran Chelsea, Jake and Satin. Ran Chelsea in the Jr flushing division, and she tied for 1st place! Jake and Satin were in the big boy divisions and tied for 3rd in the pointing division. Satin would have won if we would have been able to shoot the birds she got up. Chelsea is first, then Jake, then Satin with their ribbons. |

It's very fun to run our "boot licking, slow, plodding" dogs against the true specialists in the pointing world and do well. I ran Casey in the Pointing Division of the WA State Gun Dog Challenge and we got 3rd. Many of our PL's can certainly open some eyes.

When and where are these state championships held? I've tried to do searches on the net, but have been unsuccessful in finding dates and venues. Is there a particular orginization that host/sponsers these events?

Steve could of used a wind break!! Satin was the last dog in that division and the wind was whipin, None of the other dogs were getting up more than 3 birds,(running) Satin pointed 4 and pushed 2 more, They would go up catch the wind and they were gone!! Jake went out so hard that 20 minutes in the boy was out of gas!! he was so pooped I dont think his nose wasnt working after that! I was impressed with those Wyoming pointing labs ( I think alot out of Beau) I think it is Medicine Beau? Anyway Fred Lysingers GMPR , Good lookin Black dog. Terry Bridwell has a real nice dog I think out of Beau, He worked really nice too!!
