But, had a good time on the last hunt of the season.  2 dayer (actually, 2 one half dayers).  Unusually warm, but got a small cold spell the weekend before which pushed some birds around into some spots.  Plus locals usually stop hunting after Holidays, opens up some more land.

Lots of long shots, only 3 out of 6 shots were on points, and those were multiple points as bird was running.
Birds hit ground running but dog catches up with them.  Get to see it all happening.  One was just like the roadrunner, dust and all.  Glad for those empty corn fields on corner/middle CRP plots.

Found an old homestead behind a shelter belt.  Actually got last bird there, we were looking for a cripple.
One got up, flew straight up between the trees right at us.  Sun shining on it, I can still see it.
Was a beautiful way to end the season.
