I went out today with my son (9) and the dogs. Beautiful day for a hunt - we put up 6 hens but didn't see any roosters. Season ends in two days so that will probably be the last hunt this year.

Had an interesting incident on this hunt...one of those where after the shot the bird goes forever climbing way hi in the air...then falls like a rock dead. Well it lands on a tin roof inside a feed lot. Made a very loud bang when it hit! Had to duct tape my snow scraper to a small shovel to reach it...

Nice way to start the new year. Here in Jersey we are still in duck and goose mode. Today is the last day for ducks on our farm, leaving only geese. In coastal zone, with 25 kt sustained winds with gusts to 40 kt. and high tides, duck hunting is out, just not save. We will start with upland this week, I hope Sammie remembers how to do it.

Wow- Now How about those Chiefs Upsetting Denver IN Denver. Almost never happens - Needless to say KC fans were delighted to end the season with this win. Whew we had quite the party at the Blackdogs house toasting with a shot at every Chiefs score !

There is to much stuff going on with that team that we dont know about, Kinda like Larry Johnson for you guys at the begining of the year, But we have a COACH with a big ego..... and i dont think the players like or want to play for him  ....There is a book i am sending the coach, HOW TO WIN FRIENDS AND INFLUENCE PEOPLE...
