I thought that we could see if there is interest first and maybe our Kansas buddy's would suggest an area and come along... We could also come up with a date based on the parties that are interested. I personally Hunt Kansas about 10-15 days a season and could up with areas.
Maybe we could get "Mr Poudre river" to come... Yo OD.. |

Hey Jerry,
We still have the second half of our SD tag to use...and I will also have 5 days left on my ND after this week. I will post a message and let everyone know how the bird hunting was up around the Mott area when I get back! |

Sorry, I havent checked in for a while, Ive been out chasing waterfowl. Ridley and I have been neck deep in them. Weve got a lot of flooded land this year and flooded timber makes for great blind training.
2bd would probably be the best coordinator or maybe Matt at oak creek since they do more upland hunting in western kansas. I dont hunt public or the walk in very often and hunt mainly quail on private property in eastern kansas that I cant bring a bunch of people on. I dont hunt pheasants until we freeze out so I cant hunt ducks. I could help coordinate places to stay and would be glad to meet the out of staters somewhere, throw the dogs in the truck and drive the rest of the way if you guys want to nail down a date. I just need some advanced notice so I can get a kitchen pass. |

Not ring necks, but they did raise the MO daily limit on wood ducks to three this year. I've never seen so many of these birds in my life and in large flocks. One of the best eating ducks and a ton of fun to shoot. Ridley and I are having a blast in his second hunting season. Count your blessings if you are able to get out and hunt this year. It is a wonder ful way to spend your time. |

2BD and I just got back from hunting pheasants in Leoti, KS on my inlaw's farm. We did ok. Had a great time. I would offer up hunting their farm again this year as it will be the last year they have CRP. Dang farm bill caused them to turn it into corn after the first of the year.

Here is a follow up to our ND trip this year...it was great! I have never seen so many birds...over 5K in four days of hunting. There was seven of us and we all limited out each day on public land. |

I will be heading out next weekend for my first hunt of the season. I was invited by some others but will let you all know how it was and try and get a P/L trip going. |

Went to Lenorna and had a blast. The first day was sparse but we found some birds just to the south of town. Sunday was a total different story. Lots of birds and work for Zoie. Out of 10 birds she retrieved 7 and was able to keep up with my GSP and buddies GWP. Get out there if you have not already. |
