Hey everyone, I just took a job that is going to place me in Cloumbus, GA for a couple years and was wondering if anyone in the PL world is down thata way or if anyone has placed dogs down there?  Just looking to catch up w/ some guys that way since I wont have the mass numbers around any more.  Thanks and see you at K&L in May.

Martin, hope it is a good opportunity for you.

I would suggest calling Tim and Charity Zeigler about GA, Tim's job took them down there for a couple of years before moving to WI.

Im no help Martin, but if you find a good place to hunt hogs, let me know. I've always wanted to get in on a good hog hunt. I'll see you in a month or so at the test.

I am not in Georgia but in North Carolina and I know of only one other PL in my state. Once you get settled in, give me a shout and I can come on down and we can work or hunt over the dogs. For hunt tests as you probably know that are close to you or even myself, is in Pennsylvania.

I live in georgia and not many Pl's down here, but good retriever country. We train about 45 min from columbus. If you are looking for a place to train email me. Most people run HRC or AKC hunt test down here. I have a pointing lab, but I let her catch too many birds when she was a pup. But she is a good pheasant dog.

Thanks for the help and or shout-outs, Im sure Ill get together w/ everyone.  I am down here now and got into some hogs on my construction site this morning on Benning (so it's looking good LeRoy!).  My wife is still in KS teaching through the end of the year so my dogs are now split between trainers and her, but I will certainly catch up w/ the Columbus Retriver Club guys as I settle in.  Look forward to seeing some of you in Higginsville in a few weeks.
