Im having some issues with my pups eating habits. He is very picky and we have to use some of the older dogs food or some canned on top of his, just to get him to eat. Normally I would let him go till he gets good and hungry but ant 8 mos I worry about his development, and growth. He was on Enhance when we got him but had to switch due to availability. We tried IAMS, and Farm&Fleet puppy. It seems he likes something new and then it wears off. Any suggestions? Would prefer dry food. I have never seen a lab with this issue. |

Any premium large breed puppy food should be good (I like Eagle Pack). Put the food down for 10 minutes (by the clock ! ! !) At the end of 10 minutes, pick the bowl up and don't feed again until the next feeding time (Hopefully, twice a day). Again, p[ut the bowl down for 10 minutes. It won't take very long for the pup to realize that when it's time to eat, it's TIME TO EAT. You're not going to hurt the pup by doing this -- he'll catch on pretty fast. Sounds like he is training you as far as food goes. . |

If you paid a food expert for this information, you got ripped off. I would have given you much better advice than he did -- and I wopuldn't have charged you a penny.
No dog food can possibly be appropriate for every life stage, lifestyle or health condition. "All Life Stages" dog foods are like "All Weather Tires". Not as good as summer tires in the summer, not as good as winter tires in the winter etc.. |

I got the message Doc, I was just expressing the concerns, I switched to Live Smart chicken and brown rice from smart pak before I wrote this. If things dont improve I will try your method. |
