Got a call today from one of our TyRoux puppy owners, that his chocolate female "Maggie" has been stolen in her crate in their screened in porch in Kaufman, TX. I am just sick.... Maggie just turned 4 months on Tuesday when this happened. Richard Trotter who owns Maggie said that this happened sometime between 9 am - 12pm. on Tues June 1st. Maggie had a pink/green camo collar on. She weighs around 26lbs. The neighbor kids said they saw a Maroon SUV and a White Pickup around their house at that time. Please if you know of anything please let Richard know.... Please bring Maggie back.... and we ask for all prayers. Below are pictures  of "Maggie" at 7 weeks.  Please feel free to link this thread to any websites/forums that you feel can bring Maggie Home. Richard can be reached at 214-403-4524. Thank You and God Bless.

That is terrible. Hopefully she is returned or is found. Do you know if she had been chipped?

they are stealing dogs, they are stealing your nice kennels in bed of your truck while you are hunting.they follow you home to see where you live....

Was the pup micro chipped? I've been debating having my puppy chipped and if this one was and it aided in the recovery I think I have my answer.

It is a good idea to microchip your lab. If it gets lost and ends up at a shelter, or at a vet's office, they will have a way to contact you. Even though we can all tell our labs apart, to lots of people "a lab is a lab". Also, it is nice to have permanent identification when it comes time to do health clearances.

Below is the response from the owner of Maggie/Richard Trotter:

WOW!!! WOW!!! WOW!!! What a wonderful day. Recieved a "Private" cell phone call today/Friday June 18th @ 10:54 am. I normally do not answer these call, BUT I thought this might be the call you have been waiting for. It sure enough was a lady who lives in Terrell, TX. This is approximately 8 - 9 miles from where we live in Kaufman. I immediately ask about her pink and green camo collar and her shiny chocolate coat and she answered affimative to both questions. She also told me that she had found her running with two other dogs by a dumpster @ IH 20 and SH 34 with a cut on her chest wihcih she doctored and it has healed. At that point I knew it was Maggie. We set up a time to meet @ 6:30 pm this evening. We met @ McCoys and as soon as she started across the parking lot with her I knew it was her by her carry, gait and perky ears. My son called her name and she came running and wrapped the leash around my legs. SHE IS HOME LAYING AT MY FEET AND WILL LIVE THE BEST LIFE POSSIBLE!!

THANK ALL OF YOU WHO POSTED, CROSS POSTED, CALLED US AND HAD US IN YOUR THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS. MIRACLES DO STILL HAPPEN!!

Richard, Phyllis, Sam (Young Son Who Went With Me), Harley (Grand Daughter) and MAGGIE

Richard did tell me that the lady that found Maggie, her dad who is a Fireman in Kaufman, Tx saw the article in the paper, plus saw the posters around town about this missing pup, called her and said "You got to do the right thing and give them their dog.... When they did finally meet, Richard said that she was very emotional having to give back Maggie... daughter and granddaughter were already attached. Maggie was not chipped, but is now. We had DNA Profile of Sire/Roux if needed for verification...... Thank the Lord for a Happy Ending......

Great story with a truely beautiful ending.

My 11 year old GSP is chipped and she has never been in a situation where it was needed. This just goes to show that unexpected things really happen.

I'm going to call my vet right after I finish writing this!
