Congratulations Paco for putting another couple of master passes on Gator and CPR for Smokey. Also to Dale for Rooster getting 4X. Consistently great dogs. Thanks Dale for a great job of training and handling Kenai. Special congratulations to Travis for Kenai's littermate Piper getting her MPR. Great job guys. |

First of all big Congrats to Dale for the 4X on Rooster. That is quite a special dog and quite an accomplishment. Rooster's easy glide around the field is deceptive to how much ground that dog is actually covering.
Frank - for as much as you keep saying Gator is in "semi-retirement" he keeps rocking tests and you are nearly there also. Congrats on the G-man and Smokey boy. Glad you put him out there again for people to see.
Brad W - congrats on Kenai, very cool dog. I hear he rocked it in the upland. 3.5 - 1 to go.
Alex Ziegler - Congratulations young man on having titled Ice. Good reward for the training I know you personally did with her.
Troy C. - Two more on Coal and Rookie's CP - Congrats!
Handler's aren't listed so I am not sure how the pro's did but I understand the White HRK truck came home with a bunch of ribbons on the dash (8 for 9? - because Piper preferred being ran by Travis :-). Looks like Brad Lhotak had a pretty good weekend also. I see Misty, Anne, Porter and a few others you ran.
Troy B. (Roscoe), Larry K. (Bin), and Kevin with Jake - Congrats on the Master Passes.
Travis - special MPR for you running your girl Piper. She just needed you - Congrats!
Congratulations to all and from what I hear, Andy, Doug, and the crew working the test can give themselves a pat on the back for a well ran test.

Andy, Doug, and Shane thanks for all the back work to put this test on. It was very well ran. Thanks to all the guys that Andy talked into coming and help you all did a great job.
Big thanks to all the judges for donating there time. Had a great time running under the master and advanced judges. Didn't have any certified dogs but heard good things about them too even LeRoy!
Big congrats to Troy Benson and his dog 4x GMPR Bearpts Rosco. Thanks for letting me handle such a great dog.
Big congrats to Travis Strauser and Piper. You got some great days ahead of you with Piper.
Congrats to everyone that passed this weekend. You definately earned it in the weather conditions we had. Definatly adds alot to the marking tests when you throw in a 40 mile an hour wind and 90 degree temps in the upland.
Congrats to Dan Koolstra and CPR Dutchess of Bella of East Point handled by Troy Benson.
Congrats to Mike Lettau for getting Misty's 4x. 4x GMPR Mischievous Misty Midnight SH owned by Monte and Ruth Lauderdale.
Thanks for everyone that came to South Dakota to support our APLA test. There are such great people in the APLA it is always a great time. |

Im not sure what that means Brad, but I'll take it as a compliment!
It was great weekend and very tough conditions as Brad mentioned. If you passed a dog at any level, you deserved it! Thanks again to ALL who helped! Thanks to Kevin and Barb for bringing my new pup! Thanks to Mike, John and Guff for taking a dog back to Kansas City for me.

Thanks to Andy and crew for a very good test, great help all the way around and fantastic grounds. Doug Powell your contributions to this organization are unmatched I hope you don't burn yourself out ..it would take 5 guys to replace you. I had a great time again hanging out with the other handlers and watching great dog work. Congrats to Brad L and Mike L on another string of ribbons. It seem as a group we started putting things together around the same time and I hope we are all still doing this years from now and Brad maybe I can get you to coach my kids sometime very impressive what i learned about your wrestling background. Congrats to Kevin E on his master pass Sat it was nice to meet one of the 'regular' forum guys. Awesome job by Alex Zigler with his CPR ribbon. Way to go. I want to thank all the judges as the tests were great and were judged very fairly it was great to meet 2 more Colorado judges to go with meeting Vic at the Mo test. I loved both days of Master with a little of AKC on one day and a little HRC flavor on the next. Dan and WW are a great pair. Bruce the white truck struggled abit more then I would have liked but the end results were fantastic I am especially elated for Travis Strasser and Pipers pass on Sun it once again points to how important dog /handler relationship is and how their teamwork contributes to big time success. Congrats to Frank and Gator on their way to the 4x- one more Franky and the you can put him in the old folks home(although the way he looked he is far from retirement).Congrats also on the green ribbon for Smokey, that dog is going to go far i am sure and a special pat on the back to Jim Springer and his dog Vera who is the proud momma of that little fire breather. Troy and Brad Big time congrats on the 4x on Roscoe. And Mike L on Misty's 4x. Very big deal. I want to thank Robert V and Brad W for trusting me to run their pals and congrats on the new ribbons. Kenai and Sheba are exciting for sure... I can elaborate more later..... The list to could drag on here but I met alot of people for the first time and also seen alot of the regulars and as always enjoyed the time with them. I really had a good weekend out west and really believe this is a great group of people focused on these dogs. |

Mike/Monte congratulations on Misty.
Troy/Brad congratulations on the Roscoe dog. Very nice dog. Now you can focus on getting the MH!
Lots of work and time in that 4X title.

Special thanks to Andy and Doug for putting on a great hunt test!!!! Everything ran smooth all weekend. I was fortunate enough to gun for CPR on Saturday and watched some great dogs show their stuff. Congrats to Rooster on his 4X. I think Piper is pretty excited for him too Lots of great dog work, I wish I could have watched them all. Good work Kenai, it was great watching him for the first time, great dog Brad! Dale, sorry to pull down your percentages on Saturday. It's not my fault she likes her owner better!!!! Thanks for the kind words about Piper. I am truly blessed that the first two pointing labs I have owned / handled were MPR caliber dogs. I think that speaks highly for the pointing labs being produced today and excites me about the future. I believe it was Ed McNally that said this first, but I will bring it up again. I can't say THANK YOU enough to Pro's like Brad, Dale, Andy and Mike. Your willingness to answer questions and take the time to show people like myself how to do things the RIGHT way are greatly appreciated. You really do care about seeing good dogs reach their full potential! Thank you to Andy Scheoberl for introducing me to the APLA and pointing labs in general, Wade Stottler too for getting me started in the HRC venue, certainly helped the nerves on the water series sunday. It was great to see everyone in the P.L. community again. I look forward to seeing you all again this fall. |

I'd like to add my thanks to the list. It was great fun to be there. Nice job Doug and Andy! The grounds and facilities were really awesome. A wet spring on the prairie is just an incredible sight. Thanks also to judges, workers, and fellow handlers for the chance to connect and share this challenging event. |

Thanks to Andy and Doug for putting on a heck of a test. Also to Shane, it seemed like there were 15 Shane clones running around this weekend - every time I went anywhere, he was there working his tail off. Thanks also to the "hunt test widows": Amy, Dee, and Teri Jo. We also got our money's worth out of Scott Olson, John Schierholz, and a bunch of other guys - thanks for making everything happen without a hitch.
Granite Springs was awesome! Great lodge, great people, incredible food, and everything looked like a postcard.
Test setups were also first-class all weekend, lots of fun!
The highlight of my weekend was seeing Alex and Ice. Way to go Alex!

After 3278 round trip miles we're back home with our new puppy Quiver (thanks Brad, we're really loving her) and a pretty red ribbon. I just wanted to say how fortunate we are to have found Pointing Labs years ago and to have joined the APLA. Every test we've been to the people have been friendly and helpful and more then willing to answer rookie questions, teach me and offer advice. Not in any sporting event or other organizations I've participated in have I been made to feel so welcome and I just want to say thanks to each and every one of you. Congratulations to everyone who participated whether you passed or not, it's the effort that counts. Thanks judges, your time and talent is appreciated. And to Andy, Doug and all the gang who set this up - thank you so much! Granite Springs was a great site with friendly people and ticks, gnats, wind, heat or not, we truly enjoyed ourselves. |
