I have a friend who use to train at the old DL Wolters Kennel when he was a kid.
Would this be the same person as Richard Wolters.
If so could anyone tell me where that might have been and what it is now called.

Sorry everyone I have figured out that the mans name is DL Walters out of Kansas.
Does anybody know what the kennel is now called.

I think but I could be wrong but it is "D L Walters". "Richard Wolters" is a different person.
If you are looking for D L Walters kennel it is in LaCygne KS. It is now owned by Doug Greiner. (913)731-2446. I know nothing about the kennel "Richard Wolters" would have owned.

Richard A. Wolters is a different guy than D. L. Walters.  Richard lived in New York and wrote a bunch of books about training dogs:  "Water Dog", "Game Dog", "Gun Dog", and others.  Richard was one of NAHRA's founders.  The concept of "the hunt test" was Richard's idea, so the APLA and all modern hunt test programs probably wouldn't exist if it weren't for Richard.
