I have a potential client interested in purchasing a pup who lives near Kelowna, BC and also Calgary, AB. They're asking about retriever and/or pointing lab trainers specifically in Western Canada. I'm not familiar with anyone to recommend, can my APLA friends offer suggestions? I suggested some here in Washington and Montana but she'd prefer to stay closer to home. Thanks for the help!

No PL trainers. Several retriever clubs and I am sure several retriever trainers-I only have connections on Vancouver Island, which is not near Kelowna, and nowhere near Alberta. Have your clients search the HRC site for clubs near them.

Keskam, one day we'll meet-and you'll realize why that suggestion has me laughing out loud! I am SO not a dog trainer...

Hooli, sounds like you need to start to rally up a CPLA organization! How is the upland hunting up there?

micahd, no upland to speak of where I live, but some good waterfowl hunting. Lots of retriever tests and clubs, but no one else has PLs that I know of, except one member of a hunt club whose traditional style older black male points when they run their "chukkar challenges"-and I think he is mostly a couch dog now.
