I guess I should give an update on my situation after reading this thread.
I am still in my house..and thanks to president Obama.. I may be here for alot of years....my situation was differnt than most.. I wasnt house poor where I bought a house I couldnt afford.. I bought an older house with alot of land that I could afford... I remodeled the house out of pocket.. never went to the bank. The value of my house went from $65 K to according to the tax assesor around $200 K. When the construction industry died around here.. I had to start missing payments.. food on the table.. or pay bills..some of you know what thats like. Every time I missed a payment.. I was charged with interest and penelties. My mortage went from $600 a month to $1500 a month...with next to no income coming in.. It was hopeless.. I tried many times to work with the bank.. but to no avail.. they had a property that they could actually sell and make a profit on.. they were not about to deal with me.

When I heard about the home stimulus package that was being offered, I applied.. and was lucky to be accepted.. My home payments are now with in reason of my income.. None of you are paying for me to keep my house... I went from only having 8 more years to pay off my mortage to almost 20.

Hopefully in a couple of years the housing market will regain its momentem and I'll be able to sell my property off and pay off my debts before I'm too old.

Thanks to all with their generous offers..I'm still plugging away.. and I plan to keep doing just that..

As for the dogs..I'm down to just Dragon and Earl.. Dragon did not come back into heat in June when she was supposed to. I've been checking here daily but to no avail. I worked late last night..got to bed around 3.. woke up and looked out my balcony window to the dogs kennels... Something didnt look right..I went downstairs and outside.. and sure enough both dogs where in the same kennel.. Earl had ripped a hole in the kennel wall that seperated them, and they were locked up... who knows for how long.. or how many times...

Keeping my fingers crossed that it doesnt take.. I dont want to try  to sell pups in January... grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Glad to hear at least one story where the banks were brought to heel.  No pun intended.  I'll gladly pay my taxes to help people who deserve it.  Keep pluggin.

A little late on this thread but I have an open home for anyone that needs to place a dog, even if only temporarily. I know that I woudnt want to be without mine unless absolutely necessary.

Our company needs an accountant with a construction background. Knowledge of Timberline software required. Responsibilities include the day to day accounting, A/R, A/P, taxes, P & L statements. Job would require a move to New Jersey, but we have steady work with a growing company. From time to time, we even have time to fish and hunt.
