Lots of cool stuff on the site with PL's showing their skills in multiple venues like Master National. Showing the "other" side of these talents, Dale ran his Diesel dog in its first all-breed upland tournament. UFTA/NBDCA event at Haymarsh in Michigan last weekend. Diesel took first place in the Amateur pointing division (under 3 years old) and second place in the Open all-age pointing division. I understand he missed first in the Open only because Dale had to take two shots at one of his birds Congratulations Dale and Diesel.

Dale,

Way to go. After I passed the APLA CPR (with a single pass) with Molly (Jack's mom) I wanted more to do with my dogs the rest of the year. I went to the "run and gun" events, the NBDCA for one. MPR Molly became a 3 times champion in 2001 and went on to capture the NBDCA 2001 High Point Flushing Dog title. It was easy with good PL. Later, that year I ran NBDCA pointing events with constant placements. Wouldn't you know they change the rules for 2002 that you couldn't do that. The pointer boys where scared as hell. And they should have been. I left them at that time-HAPPILY.

GMPR Jack, my 2008 Master National Hall of Fame dog, started NBDCA at 7 months old with a 1st place amateur win. With in the next year he had accomplished one each NBDCA Amateur and Open Championship.

Dale, take your PLs out, take placements, and kick their butts.

Frank- I was trying to be kind. I understand Paco's Gator dog had some fantastic runs in the Open division but, unfortunately, Gator's gunner didn't have the same level of performance.

It was absolutly thrilling to just play in the same venue as Pointers and GSPs as it was the upland fields that sucked us in this deep. Winning well!!!WOOHOO!
Run-N-Gun just feels right.

Diesel Dog Blew out 2 toenails Sat so we subsituted Gator on Sun and although I put on a horrid display of shooting Gator put on one heck of a performance and could do well at this game. What a joy that round was. Thanks Frank.

OK,There was a misunderstanding to my post about Dales gun control.I meant that on Saturday,he,and the Diesel dawg, could have even scored higher,as he didn't need the second shot.Really don't want, and didn't want to take away from his great w/end running with the pointing guys.Had nothing to do with his bent barrel, and slow trigger finger on SundayBut, Bruce since I like to have fun, here is some of the rest of the story; When HE had the geek going, and knew he could'nt run Deisel again because of the nails. He asked to run G'Force in the Diesel Dawgs spot.I have no interest in this game, and was there to support my friends,I said sure let's have some fun.Now you gotta know, nobody else has ever run Gator at any training or event. So this was a treat for us.Also I guide at The Haymarsh, with a couple of the guys that put on this event.Have been chided with the usual PL bashing etc.So I will have the most fun as a result of how well Dale and Diesel, and the MM/Team Run-N-Gun did.Marks Duke also impressed with a couple good runs, and anyone that has seen this dog KNOW'S that he can cover the upland with grace and style that wowed the judges and gallery.----------------Now back to the Sunday Dale runs Gator thing...I only noticed that Dale waited a bit then missed the birds on the first shot, and generally just wounded it on the second shot.Guess he was testing the marking ability or something.(Bruce there of course is more, but it can wait for a campfire or roadtrip)Anyways,as I hope you can all tell we had a blast and ,Dale it was MY pleasure, and don't ever think that I am not glad that you pushed me to get involved with this PL thing Diesel is one of the best, have no doubt and be proud. You have earned it...............Paco

Sorry it took so long to put my comments in Frank. But I have to agree with you that Dale did shoot alot better when Diesel was running. It must have been that gun he was using, instead of that one you brought him. In all honesty, I think Dale was a little nervous running the gator. The game was fun, maybe next year we will have to do it again at the Haymarsh. After all, Dale has a title to defend. Great job Dale, enjoy the belt while it last, and remember 49.5!!!!

Hopefully with what Mark posted, all can see that we in the infamous(aka silly)MM,are not at all competitive with each other..................yeah right!! Another fun time with some pretty good dawgs, and some owners that obviously like to share time afield with them.....that is where it comes together.(critical MM Rule:get to be a team, you and your dog,you and your buddies, you and your training group, get to the team thing),,,,df/aka Paco
